Ron Cörvers

Ron Cörvers is associate professor in Governance and Sustainable Development, and educational director of the Master programme Sustainability Science and Policy. He is also chair of the educational committee of the MUST PhD programme.

Ron holds a Master degree in Environmental Geography from Radboud University Nijmegen and a PhD certificate from Utrecht University. His PhD thesis was on policy networks and nature development in the Netherlands, and the public administrative consequences of this new steering approach. He worked for more than 20 years at the School of Science, Open Universiteit in the Netherlands, where he developed a wide range of courses in the field of environmental policy, environmental sciences, and sustainable development. He has a particularly interest in web supported learning opportunities.

His current research interests are in the field of governance for sustainable development, policy oriented learning for sustainable (regional) development, and technology enhanced social learning.
