Sjouke Beemsterboer
Sjouke Beemsterboer works as PhD researcher at Maastricht University at the International Centre for Integrated assessment and Sustainable development (ICIS). He is carrying out a dynamic sustainability assessment of CSP and CCS, integrating perspectives from innovation sciences and industrial ecology.
Before coming to ICIS, Sjouke has been working on long term energy transitions as a researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology. He participated in a project studying current perspectives on user involvement with smart grids developments in the Netherlands.
Previously, Sjouke has been employed as policy analyst at IDEA Consult in Brussels. In the field of innovation policy, he collaborated on impact assessments of several Flemish (semi-) governmental organizations and instruments. In addition, he has been involved in a few studies commissioned by the European Commission (DG RTD; DG ENV, DG COMP).
Sjouke holds a masters degree in Science and Technology Studies (ESST, 2009) and a bachelors degree in European Studies (2007) from Maastricht University.
