Toan Do Thanh

Toan is a medical doctor working in the field of preventive medicine. She teaches biostatistics in the Faculty of Public Health, Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam.

In the year 2005, Toan started a Master of International Health in Copenhagen University, Denmark, and the thesis topic was “HIV/AIDS related stigma and discrimination at the workplace of Vietnam”.

In May, 2010, Toan started her PhD at ICIS. Since Dengue in Vietnam is hyperendemic with all four serotypes co-circulating, and where dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever continue to be a major health problem, her research aims at gaining a better understanding on the transmission of dengue epidemic in Hanoi,Vietnam, within the period of 10 years (1999-2009).
