Astrid Offermans and Marjolijn Haasnoot (Deltares) won the third price in the Deltares competition ‘Sustainable project’ with the project ‘Perspectives in Integrated Water Resources Management in River Deltas’. The competition rewards projects that contribute to sustainable development of Delta areas. The integration of insights from natural and social sciences and the exploration of transient adaptation pathways by means of computer models and participatory processes were especially appreciated by the jury.
